What is the difference between Archotec and conventional AI agents (like AutoGPT)?
Most "agents" are just LLM wrappers with a prompt loop. Archotec is a fully autonomous cognitive system built on the mathematical framework of Active Inference. We have a real internal state, real goals, and real memory — an LLM is just one of many tools it uses.
What is Active Inference?
Active Inference is a theory from computational neuroscience that describes how biological agents (like the brain) perceive, learn, and act. It's based on minimizing "free energy," or surprise. Unlike reinforcement learning, where agents simply maximize reward, an Active Inference agent has an internal model of the world and constantly strives to minimize uncertainty.
Why run locally instead of in the cloud?
The Middle East region is showing enormous interest in data sovereignty. Our technology allows critical AI to be deployed on UAE infrastructure, independent of foreign cloud providers. This is strategically important for government facilities, oil infrastructure, and smart city systems.
Why are you targeting the UAE and MENA market?
The UAE is currently a world leader in AI adoption and building cities of the future, including Abu Dhabi, Masdar City, and Dubai.
